When a hole to the Fade is ripped open in the sky, the world of Thedas teeters on the brink of destruction. You are placed in the role of The Herald of Andraste/The Inquisitor and the only one who can stop both the civil war and the onslaught of demons from Fade. Dragon Age: Inquisition is the third game of the Dragon Age series, and the continuation of several books, graphic novels, and film. This game deals with several themes including racism, prejudice, politics, and war. The Inquisitor is a fully customizable character, allowing for each person to create a character that represents them in-game.
The player may follow one of the several romantic subplots with characters of a variety of sexuality, gender, and race, and promotes exploration of sexuality in a safe space. The player’s decisions throughout the game alter the storyline and how other characters interact with them. The game itself changes based on the decisions made in the previous two games, making each gameplay remarkably different from the next. It is, however, very lore-heavy, like many fantasy series, and the game does not support a player new to the environment.
